Learning how to..."Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Happy 2012 (Is it April already?)

It has been a long time... so I'm going to begin in January of this year (hard to believe that was 3 months ago...)The reason behind my "no blogging" is I began working full time again in January. Things were going along great- I was enjoying my "two day a week job" and get a call out of the blue to come interview for a temporary position as the Summerdale Library Media Specialist for this semester. I wasn't really looking for full time, but not many people actually get called to come interview, so I felt like it was something I should do. A little history, my teaching career began in Summerdale. Mark proposed to me the last day of school at this school. I have a lot of fond memories here- good friends who are still there... the decision was made pretty much as soon as I got there to interview that day. It felt right- even though I was sad to leave my three day a week mommy job:( It has been a little hectic, jumping back in, but I am doing a job I love- helping students find books! So- I am now serving in another interim position- not sure what the future holds, but just plugging along as the days go by! The school is pre K-8 and I teach classes to pre-k- 8. I have a part time aide, who is WONDERFUL!!! I am so glad she and I are working together!
This is a picture of me and Debbie on Dr. Seuss' birthday! I now have another book fair under my belt...
I have not been running as much as I would like, but did run the Spring Fever Chase a couple of weeks ago- Mark and I ran together! He actually hung back with me- what a sweet husband! I hope to get back to running more very soon- missing it!
Blaine, Sarah Claire, Mark, and I all ran the fun run too- it was a good day ! Catching up on everyone... BLAINE
He had his 8th Birthday in February! So hard to believe... We took 10 of his friends to a Bull Riding event in Pensacola for a birthday celebration. We had a lot of fun!
Blaine shares a birthday with Bebe, so we always have a family party to celebrate!
We always measure to see how much the kids have grown...
Second grade has this really cool wax museum. The students have to choose a famous person to read about, do a bag report on, and then dress as the character and participate in a wax museum. Each student had a button that you could push and they would tell you facts about that person. Blaine chose Leonardo Da Vinci...he had just read a Mgic Treehouse book on him!
Blaine's paper bag report...
Blaine has worked hard to stay in the top 10 in 2nd Grade for AR points- I am proud of him and hope that he keeps a love of reading.
We have now moved into baseball season- his second in peanut! He has been taking batting lessons with Bernie Carbo for a few months and he is having a great season so far! Go Red Sox!
Blaine got the game ball last week- I was home sick with AB...am proud of him! SARAH CLAIRE Oh my sweet Sarah Claire- she is growing up so this year...she also just celebrated a birthday- number 6!!!
We celebrated with a little family party and almost all of her cousins...we were missing Ava!
Love this girl!!
One of the most important events of this year for our family has been Sarah Claire's decision to ask Jesus into her heart.
She had been asking questions since our church's production of "the Promise" last year around Easter. I had been answering her questions, but really didn't think she was ready. One night before bed, she said she was ready to ask Jesus into her heart...she and I prayed together. We then talked and prayed with our children's minister. She was so excited and so ready to be baptized!
A special day- Sarah Claire and her friend Cooper were baptized on the same day!
One thing I love about Sarah Claire is she loves her friends and to have fun! Pictures of her and Ann Haven being funny...
My girls!
I forgot to mention earlier that the week after I bgean working, I got my Kelly's Kids trunk for this season- it has been my best season yet as a rep! It was a little hectic, but I love the fact that I can get so many free clothes for the girls (and a few for Blaine)! Moving on to ANNA BRITTEN... What do I say? This child keeps me on my toes...a very spunky three year old...
Anna Britten and her friend Emery- at Emery's birthday party!
This picture says it all about AB- she can't have enough shoes or purses, and LOVES to change clothes- especially into her "dance clothes".
After falling in the mud at her brother's ball practice- she didn't miss a beat and I didn't have any extra clothes!
With Mrs. Missy and Kendall at Mardi Gras family day.
She wanted me to take this picture of her!
This is Miss AB watching her brother play ball.
Sleeping with her books- this is the only time she is still!Love her...not sure what to do with her sometimes! She adds spunk to our fam!
